tinyteahouse at Irving Gallery
Oxford’s tinyteahouse will be popping up at Irving Gallery on Friday 6th June from 10.00am to 2pm to serve visitors fine, seasonal teas in the traditional gong fu cha style. Guests are invited to take a seat at the tea table in the gallery to share tea served in hand crafted teawares from Yixing and Jingdezhen. Seasonal tea gatherings of this kind are held throughout Asia in tea houses, galleries and ateliers, allowing guests to appreciate fine tea and generous conversation surrounded by beautiful works of art.
Visitors will sit surrounded by the artworks on show in Irving Gallery’s latest exhibition, ‘Tracing Space’, featuring paintings by twelve contemporary artists from across the UK.
3 spaces are available at each tea session lasting 45 minutes. Sessions start at 10am, 11am, 12 midday and 1pm. Free to invited guests of Irving Gallery and tinyteahouse.
