tinyteahouse will be returning to Irving Gallery on March 24th to serve guests the classic teas of Japan. Take a seat at the tea table to share a relaxed tea gathering of fine teas and fine ceramics.

Tea gatherings of this kind are held throughout Asia in tea houses, galleries and ateliers - allowing guests to appreciate fine tea and generous conversation surrounded by beautiful works of art.

The Classic Teas of Japan

Taste classic examples of popular Japanese teas including Genmaicha (Brown Rice Tea), Kabuse Sencha (Shaded Green), Uji Matcha (Matcha), Hojicha (Roasted Green) and Wakoucha (Black). You will learn about the history, origin and brewing of each style of tea.

Wednesday 24th March: 5.30pm - 6.30pm | 7.00pm - 8.00pm

5 spaces are available at each tea session lasting 60 minutes.

The exhibitions on view will be concurrent solo shows by two artists: Charlotte Brisland in Gallery One, and Tereza Horáček in Gallery Two.
